CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES
- Summer PALS offer academic classes in Math, English, and Science.
- Drama, Dance, Chorus and Art classes are an essential part of the program and an excellent opportunity for each student to discover and develop their artistic talents and public speaking abilities.
- Weekly field trips are planned to encourage education and entertaining venues for the students during the summer.
- The PALS Character program seeks to help students building strong ethical principles and good habits (virtues); this is possible through advisor's formal instruction and one-on-one advising. All students participate in a character class.
- An advisor is assigned per each student; she will serve as a friend and role model. The advisors help the student cultivate their personal development as well as to appreciate this summer experience.
- PALS philosophy is based on a Christian understanding of the human person. PALS believes that human success, especially personal success, is the result of a person's attitude, goals, tireless effort, good habits, unquestionable ethical conduct, competence and willingness to serve others.
- The PALS program continues throughout the school year on Saturday mornings.
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
- Parents/Guardians play an essential role in a child's personal development and academic success.
- A parent/guardian interview is a key part of the acceptance process.
- During the course of the program open communication is encouraged and fostered between parents/guardians and the staff.
- For more information regarding parent activities, visit the Parents Page.
