"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
- Winston Churchill

Thank you for your interest in donating to the Youth Leadership Foundation. Your generous contribution will allow us to continue to give youngsters the academic push they desperately need now, in their formative years, to finish high school and ultimately go to college. We target middle school students in order to reach them at this critical time in their academic and personal lives. We help them prepare for a college-prep course of study in high school, as well as, develop the work and study habits necessary to be successful in life.

About the Youth Leadership Foundation: Since its founding in 1997, the Youth Leadership Foundation (YLF) has been serving the Washington community by offering extracurricular academic achievement and character building programs to disadvantaged minority middle school students. YLF's Tenley Achievement Program for boys and Program for Academic and Leadership Skills for girls have each earned distinction in helping students boost their grades and prepare themselves both in academics and character.

In fact, 75% of our students raise their grade point averages by at least one full letter grade, and 97% eventually go on to college. We are equally proud of the progress our students make in developing virtues such as self-discipline and generosity -- progress that is reflected in the fact that more than half of our staff consists of graduates who have come back to teach what they have learned.

YLF is a 501 (c) 3 organization. All gifts are tax-deductible.
